              Deauville

Deauville is a town in the department of Calvados, Basse-Normandie region, northwestern France.

The first reference about Deville is the year 1060. At that time Deville, called A Enilla, seems more a fishing hamlet than a village. The name comes from the German Enilla (Auwja Auwa) and means "wet meadow". Current city and resort was founded by the Duke of Morny and arranged between 1860 and 1864.

The famous promenade "Les Planches", made of hardwood, port, Hippodrome, international film festival, conference centers, Casino and sumptuous hotels, Deauville is regarded as the "queen of the beaches of Normandy," and that a famous French resort .
