Val Thorens

At an altitude of 2,300 m above sea level, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe. The village itself is practically located "on the piste", allowing you to simply ride through the centre of the resort. Due to its great snow record, skiing up until May is rarely a problem. The greatest meeting point for well-deserved après-ski is the large sun terrace in front of the legendary bar "Le Monde". Val Thorens has much to offer its international clientele, a multitude of great restaurants, bars and cafés, as well as numerous shops, boutiques and shopping arcades are just waiting to be explored.
The resort's sport centre offers you the chance to engage in further sporting activities - including tennis or squash - or relaxing in the pool, sauna or jacuzzi. Also the bowling centre offers every sports fan interesting possibilities to let off steam. Or how about trying out a tour on the snow scooter?

Recommendations for travel Val Thorens

Val Thorens has revealed itself in recent years, as the "Mecca" of French après ski. With 20 bars and two discos in the area, Val Thorens truly offers something to satisfy every taste. Our tip: the most popular après ski bar in town, with international character! When the sun goes down, the party shifts from the large terrace to the pub, or the cosy bar in the basement. When the clock strikes twelve, the party animals head out to the beloved disco Malaysia. Those who seek even more sporting opportunities after a day of skiing will find a great selection in the sports centre. Here there are three tennis courts, two squash courts, an indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi, as well as a fitness room and a massage room. Or what about a ride on the highest toboggan run in Europe "Le Toboggan"? Overcome 700 m altitude in only 30 min - a fantastic experience!
